Morocco’s National Team Boosted as Key Players Return from Injury for Gabon, Lesotho Matches

Some of the Atlas Lions who had missed the matches against the Central African Republic counting for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN Morocco 2025) qualifiers due to injury have regained their fitness. This is good news for the national team coach, Walid Regragui.
No more doubt about the participation of certain players absent during the double confrontation against the Central African Republic in the next gathering of the Moroccan national team. Walid Regragui has received the news that four of them are ready to return to the field and play alongside their teammates on the Moroccan national team in the upcoming matches of the Atlas Lions against Gabon and Lesotho. One of them is Chadi Riad. Injured during the match against Norwich City in the English league at the end of August, the Moroccan defender of Crystal Palace, is fully recovered.
The Manchester United right-back Noussair Mazraoui, and Hakim Ziyech, the star of Galatasaray, have also regained their physical form. Brahim Diaz, the Spanish-Moroccan striker of Real Madrid, has also regained his fitness. He participated in the Spanish club’s training on Monday and could be lined up for the first Clasico of the season against FC Barcelona, scheduled for October 26 in the Spanish Liga.
With this news, Regragui will have a wide choice to establish the list of players he will call up for the upcoming matches against Gabon and Lesotho.
