Morocco’s National Security Promotes Over 7,000 Police Officers in Latest Advancement Round

Wednesday 19 December 2018, by Said

"This promotion concerned 5,208 uniformed officers, and 1,820 civilian officers, as well as 64 inter-ministerial executives and officials who are made available to the national security services," the DGSN said in a statement.

It also ensures that "the promotion commission has worked to expand the range of beneficiaries in the ranks of the lower grades and steps, from peace officers to senior officers, whose number is 6,406 officials with a rate exceeding 90% of the total number of beneficiaries."

Well-defined standards and criteria based on "competence, performance and merit" precisely set the method of calculating the annual rating and the evaluation of hierarchical superiors, putting "the administrative head face to his responsibilities of recruitment, ethics and values," notes the DGSN.
