Morocco’s Marrakech and Fez Top French Holiday Destinations for 2024

As the end of 2024 approaches, many French people are trading the traditional Yule log for sunnier destinations. And Morocco, once again this year, will be among the favorite destinations of French vacationers.
According to a study by the Kayak website, Marrakech is among the most popular cities for the end-of-year holidays. With an average airfare of 313 euros, the ochre city seduces travelers in search of exoticism without breaking the bank.
But Marrakech is not the only one in vogue. Fez, the spiritual capital, is recording a spectacular 34% increase in searches compared to last year. Its authentic charm and cultural heritage are attracting more and more French people in search of a different Christmas.
While Bangkok, New York and London remain safe bets, other destinations like Rovaniemi (Finland), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Tokyo (Japan) are also appreciated by French tourists.
