Morocco Resumes Maritime Transport Under Strict COVID-19 Protocols

The various transport sectors, in particular commercial vessels, are resuming their activities in Morocco. But this resumption is subject to the approval of the Directorate of Commercial Navigation of the Ministry of Transport.
This resumption will be done in strict compliance with the barrier gestures related to the coronavirus, recalls the Minister of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water, Abdelkader Amara. It is part of the government’s measures to ease the quarantine. According to the minister, who spoke in a post on his Facebook account, the measure will be coordinated by the authorities and stakeholders in the sector.
As for rail transport, Abdelkader Amara emphasizes that it will resume as of Thursday, June 25, 2020, at the level of Zone 1. However, travel between Zones 1 and 2 remains "conditional".
