Morocco Resumes Bus Services: 139 Transport Companies Back in Operation

Activities are resuming in the transport sector. The Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water announced on Tuesday, July 14, that 139 transport companies are back in service.
From June 26, 2020 to July 12, the 139 passenger transport companies that have resumed their activities have already recorded nearly 567 departures," according to a press release from the Ministry of Transport. 59 out of 68 bus stations have reopened. To ensure that everything goes well in the sector, the supervisory authority reminds road transport professionals of the need to "respect the measures adopted as part of the specifications for managing the dangers of the spread of coronavirus in the sector". The minister expects a "responsible" and "civic" approach from transport companies.
The relaunch of the sector is a concern for the ministry, which has actually developed a project in this direction. The plan includes a series of measures to support transport companies, while ensuring the safety of passengers, professionals and employees.
