Morocco to Restart Economy After Eid al-Fitr, With Safety Measures in Place

The Economic Monitoring Committee (CVE) announced, during its 8th meeting, the resumption of all economic activities after Eid al-Fitr, except those prohibited. For the CVE, the state of emergency is not synonymous with the cessation of economic activities.
The announced resumption must be done in strict compliance with the health and safety measures taken by the competent authorities as part of the fight against the covid-19 pandemic. These are the measures contained in the guides of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the sectoral federations.
The CVE stresses that the ministries in charge of the different economic sectors must ensure compliance with the barrier measures by the economic actors. It will be a question of putting in place a communication strategy with a view to widely raising awareness among economic operators on the gestures to be observed to limit the spread of the virus.
