Morocco Leverages World Cup Success to Boost Tourism Industry

The first African and Arab country to reach the semi-finals of a World Cup, Morocco is in the spotlight. According to the latest Google trends associated with Morocco, the national team is the most searched - more than 100 million times on the Internet in December - for the 2022 World Cup in the world, the highest level a word can reach on Internet search engines.
The government intends to launch a communication campaign to take advantage of this good image of the kingdom at the end of the 2022 World Cup, in order to attract potential tourists from North America, Latin American countries like Argentina, and Asia, reports Al Ahdath Al Maghribia. To achieve this goal, the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) plans to deploy significant resources, confides a government source to the Arabic-language daily.
