In a press release, the Ministry of Equipment and Transport indicates that it has launched, since February 15, this new operation in application of the 2019 Finance Act. Specifically, transport companies wishing to benefit from this renewal program must file a file with the provincial service of the ministry where the company is registered.
In detail, according to the ministry, there are eight premiums:
• A renewal premium and another for scrapping vehicles used for public passenger transport and public road passenger transport in rural areas.
• A renewal premium and a scrapping premium for road freight transport vehicles for hire.
• A renewal premium and a scrapping premium for vehicle recovery vehicles.
• A renewal premium for small trucks for the transport of goods with a total authorized laden weight of a loaded vehicle greater than or equal to 3 tons and less than or equal to 3.5 tons
• A renewal premium for vehicles in categories (C), (D) and (E C) used for driving instruction.
All the information as well as the procedure are available to the companies, says the ministry, which reports an amendment of the procedures following the remarks and suggestions made by the professional organizations representing the sector.
