Morocco Launches Tourism Campaign to Revive Marrakech After Earthquake

The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) has just launched the national communication campaign "Ntla9awfMarrakech" (We’ll meet in Marrakech) to encourage domestic tourists to visit the ochre city after the violent and deadly earthquake of September 8.
This campaign aims to encourage Moroccans to massively visit Marrakech on the occasion of Eid Al Mawlid and for the October school holidays, in solidarity with the people of Marrakech who were affected by the devastating earthquake that hit the Al Haouz province on the night of September 8.
The national communication campaign "Ntla9awfMarrakech" was officially launched on Saturday on social networks and national television channels, the ONMT announced in a press release. On Monday, it will be launched in the online press in paper format, the note adds, specifying that this campaign aims to boost domestic tourism and support the players in the sector who had expressed fears about the upcoming season.
The ONMT stresses that "Ntla9awfbladna" is not a slogan and that it embodies strong values such as otherness, sharing, sustainability and inclusion, which underpin the wave of solidarity observed in the kingdom after the September 8 earthquake. The Office will continue to take actions at the national and international level to "regain the upturn in which the tourism sector was engaged," the press release concludes.
