Morocco Launches Ramadan Food Aid Program for 2.5 Million People

Once again this year, on the occasion of the month of Ramadan, the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity will organize the distribution of food to the most disadvantaged families.
In total, 500,000 families will be affected this year, including just over 400,000 in the countryside, reports the MAP, which specifies that a total of 2.5 million people will be targeted by this solidarity campaign.
With a total cost of more than 70 million dirhams, this national food support operation "Ramadan 1440" was officially launched yesterday by King Mohammed VI in the El Qamra district of Rabat.
"This operation, organized every year during Ramadan, is a consecration of the Foundation’s primary mission, which is to provide support and comfort to underprivileged families," said Sanae Dardikh, head of the Communication Department at the Foundation.
