Morocco’s Mohammed V Foundation Distributes $3.6 Million Aid for Eid al-Adha to Religious Officials

In preparation for the celebration of Eid al-Adha 1440, the "Mohammed V Foundation for the Promotion of Social Works" is paying a financial aid of more than 35 million dirhams to religious officials.
In total, the religious officials will receive more than 35 million dirhams. This financial aid from the "Mohammed V" Foundation is intended for about 50,000 active or disabled officials, including the widows of deceased members.
The number of people to be assisted could increase from 50,000 to 70,000, according to a statement from the Foundation.
The allocation of the aid began in August 2019. Each religious official member whose monthly income does not exceed 3,000 dirhams receives 500.
This operation responds to the provisions of the dahir establishing the Foundation. Its objective is to promote solidarity and social mutual assistance within society.
