Morocco Launches Probe After Woman Gives Birth in Hospital Garden

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection announced the launch of an investigation into the childbirth of a woman in the garden of the provincial hospital center (CHP) of Youssoufia. The video of the scene, which quickly circulated on social networks, aroused strong emotion among Internet users.
In order to shed light on this incident, a central inspection commission has been set up, composed of the Inspector General of the Ministry, a central director, two central inspectors and the regional director of the Marrakech-Safi region. This commission will be responsible for conducting a thorough field investigation and submitting a detailed report.
According to a source within the ministry, the commission will be responsible for establishing the exact circumstances of the childbirth and determining any potential responsibilities. The report it will submit will allow the necessary measures and decisions to be taken.
At the same time, the Minister of Health and Social Protection has appointed a new director for the CHP Lalla Hasnaa. This decision is part of a policy of renewing health cadres, aimed at improving the quality of care and patient care.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection has thus affirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety and quality of care provided in health facilities. This investigation should help identify any weaknesses in the health system and take the necessary measures to correct them.
