Morocco Launches Probe into Leaked Photos of Cross-Dressed Hit-and-Run Suspect

An administrative investigation has just been ordered by the Director General of the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), Abdellatif Hammouchi, following the disclosure of photos of a man dressed as a woman arrested on the night of December 31.
"The services of the Marrakech police prefecture noted, during the early hours of Tuesday, January 1, a hit-and-run accident committed by a car driver who hit an individual on a motorcycle in the Gueliz district," the DGSN said in a statement, specifying that the "defendant, dressed in a dress, was then arrested at the Al Massira roundabout near the train station, after abandoning his vehicle and attempting to flee."
The DGSN assures that the traffic accident service of the Marrakech police prefecture took all the necessary precautions and security measures, following the gathering of several citizens around the individual at the origin of the accident.
Videos and photos had been widely circulated at the beginning of the week on social networks, but the police investigation focuses on the dissemination of a photo of his identity card.
