Morocco Launches Mobile App to Track COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign

To succeed in the vaccination campaign against Covid-19 that it plans to carry out in the coming days, the Ministry of the Interior will launch a mobile application for its executives.
This application includes several features that can facilitate the monitoring of vaccinated people, set the date of the second dose and assess the effectiveness of the vaccine in the days following the second injection, reports the daily Assabah. The two ministries involved in the success of this campaign have already started by collecting data on the likely beneficiaries of this vaccination. These are the underprivileged, the disabled and the elderly and those suffering from chronic diseases.
For the success of this data collection phase, the Ministry of Solidarity, which has a large database of people living in precariousness, has been called in. Many other civil society actors have also been solicited. Given the importance of this vaccination campaign, the Ministry of the Interior is adopting the same methodology as that used for the development of the unified social register (RSU) for the collection of personal data of the beneficiaries, reports the daily.
