Morocco Prepares for Massive COVID-19 Vaccination Drive, Casablanca Region Key Focus

Morocco is about to experience one of the most important stages of the fight it has undertaken since March against the spread of Covid-19. The vaccination campaign starting next week carries all the hopes of a definitive solution against the virus.
The time has come for mobilization for the success of the vaccination campaign against Covid-19. All the regions, with Casablanca-Settat at their head, are mobilized. More than 6 million of the people to be vaccinated live in this region. According to Al Ahdath Al Maghribia, since last weekend, several districts have started an awareness and awareness campaign to prepare eligible people for vaccination to make themselves available. The Casablanca-Settat region accounts for more than 40% of the declared cases.
According to Nabila Rmili, regional director of Health for the Casablanca-Settat region, more than 10 million doses will be needed in the region to vaccinate the entire population over 18 years of age. But the first phase of this campaign will consist of vaccinating a little more than 2.1 million people. These are those who are on the front line in the fight against the pandemic. They will be followed by people over 45 years of age. 800 centers have been set aside for this operation in the region, out of the 2,889 set up across the country, the same source specifies.
