Morocco Launches Initiative to Engage Diaspora Talent in National Development

Morocco wants to further involve its talents abroad in its development process. In this sense, a mechanism is being developed to support Moroccan talents abroad, in line with the royal guidelines.
The effective participation of Moroccan skills in the country’s development remains insufficient. Despite many initiatives, Moroccan talents abroad do not yet benefit from the many investment opportunities offered by the kingdom.
In his speech addressed to the Nation on the occasion of the celebration of the 69th anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People, King Mohammed VI had called for breaking with seasonal initiatives while advocating a clear and structuring vision for the establishment of mechanisms aimed at accompanying, supporting and involving the experiences of the Moroccan community established abroad.
Questioned in the House of Councillors on "the policy of seducing Moroccan skills in host countries", the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, said that a working group has been created by the government in charge of skills.
The conclusions on the methods and means of detecting skills and their compatibility with the country’s needs, in addition to the promotion of networking and administrative governance, should be delivered before next February.
