Morocco Launches "Best Artisans" Competition to Showcase Culinary Talent

With a view to rewarding Moroccan know-how in the field of gastronomy, the Rahal group will launch this year the selections for the first edition of the "Best Artisans of Morocco" competition.
The sectors concerned by this competition are mainly cooking, pastry and bakery, according to Kamal Rahal Essoulami, initiator and organizer of the competition. "The Best Artisan of Morocco is not a luxury, but a sectoral necessity that must be adopted today more than ever to encourage innovation and quality of work."
For him, Morocco has a lot of talent in the field, but they are not well enough known. "We have a very high professional human potential that has the legitimacy to be highlighted".
Organized in partnership with the National Confederation of Tourism (CNT), the National Federation of the Hotel Industry (FNIH), the National Federation of Restaurateurs, the National Federation of Bakery and Pastry as well as the Moroccan Federation of Culinary Arts, the competition will be open for applications from March to May 2023. This will be followed by the selection, preparation and competition. There will then be an official ceremony during which the best artisans will be rewarded. This will be in 2024.
