Morocco’s King Pardons 755 Prisoners for Eid Al Fitr Holiday

King Mohammed VI has decided to grant pardon to 755 people on the occasion of the Eid Al Fitr celebration this Wednesday, June 5 in Morocco.
Here are the details of these pardons as published by the Ministry of Justice.
The beneficiaries of the Royal Pardon who are in detention number 576 inmates, distributed as follows:
• Pardon on the remainder of the prison sentence for one (01) inmate.
• Remission of the prison or detention sentence for 554 inmates.
• Commutation of the death sentence to life imprisonment or a fixed term for 02 inmates.
• Commutation of the life sentence to a fixed term for 19 inmates.
The beneficiaries of the Royal Pardon who are at liberty number 179 people, distributed as follows:
• Pardon on the prison sentence or its remainder for 48 people.
• Pardon on the prison sentence with maintenance of the fine for 05 people.
• Pardon on the prison and fine sentences for 06 people.
• Pardon on the fine sentence for 120 people.
