King Mohammed VI Pardons 637 Moroccan Prisoners on Independence Manifesto Day

637 people convicted by various Moroccan courts have been pardoned by King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the commemoration of the presentation of the Independence Manifesto, celebrated this Tuesday, January 11 in Morocco.
The royal pardons are distributed as follows:
• Pardon on the remainder of the prison or criminal sentence in favor of 22 detainees.
• Remission of the prison or criminal sentence in favor of 473 detainees.
• Commutation of the life sentence to a fixed-term sentence in favor of 5 detainees.
The beneficiaries of the royal pardon who are at liberty number 137 people, distributed as follows:
• Pardon on the prison sentence or its remainder in favor of 52 people.
• Pardon on the prison sentence with maintenance of the fine in favor of 05 people.
• Pardon on the fine sentence in favor of 77 people.
• Pardon on the prison and fine sentence in favor of 3 people.
