Morocco’s King Mohammed VI Grants Pardon to 262 Convicts on National Holiday

On the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People, King Mohammed VI has pardoned 262 people convicted by various courts in the Kingdom.
"On the occasion of the Revolution of the King and the People, this year 1440 H - 2019 G, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God perpetuate His glory, has been pleased to grant His pardon to a group of persons convicted by various courts in the Kingdom."
Through a press release, the Ministry of Justice informed the Moroccan people of this gesture by King Mohammed VI in favor of 262 people.
In detail, the beneficiaries of the royal pardon are: 217 detainees, 45 people at liberty. Among the 45 people, 7 people benefit from the pardon on the prison sentence with maintenance of the fine, 1 person for the pardon on the prison sentences and the fine and 31 people for the pardon on the fine in favor of 31 people.
