Morocco’s King Mohammed VI Receives Prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor

Mohammed VI, as well as other personalities, has just received the 2019 "Ellis Island Medal of Honor" international award, an important American distinction.
This award, presented by the "Ellis Island Honors Society", is generally awarded to American and international personalities whose personal, professional and philanthropic contributions benefit the global community.
Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W Bush, Bill Clinton, and Donald Trump are among the previous recipients of this award. According to MAP: "Awarded by the ’Ellis Island Honors Society’, this medal embodies the spirit of America, by celebrating and recognizing patriotism, tolerance, brotherhood and diversity."
The MAP also writes: "Morocco, in turn, having become a land of immigration, stands out for its humanistic migration policy initiated by HM The King, drawing on the tradition of openness and the principle of multiculturalism constantly advocated by the Sovereign. In addition to American personalities, world leaders, including Nobel Prize winners and great names in the academic world, the arts, industry, and sports, have received this medal."
It should be noted that the "Ellis Island Honors Society" is also active in the maintenance and restoration of Ellis Island, where the Statue of Liberty is located in New York.
