Kushner Visits Morocco to Promote US Middle East Peace Plan

On an official visit to Rabat on Tuesday, May 28, for the promotion of the American plan for Israeli-Palestinian peace, Jared Kushner, special advisor to the US president, as well as other American personalities who accompanied him, had discussions with King Mohammed VI. Satisfied with their meeting with the Moroccan sovereign, the emissaries of Donald Trump reaffirmed the excellent level of diplomacy between the two countries.
The tour that the son-in-law and special advisor to Donald Trump has been carrying out for a few days had Rabat as its first stop. And for good reason!, the "very influential" Jared Kushner chose Morocco and Jordan as the first stages of his promotional tour "because of the common and uncompromising position of the two monarchies on the status of Al-Quds".
Indeed, Kushner’s essential mission, in charge of the Israeli-Palestinian peace plan who is also to go to Jordan and then to Israel on May 31, is to rally the Arab allies of the United States with a view to the effective realization of the "ultimate agreement". These are the prerequisites for the success of the so-called ’deal of the century’, so dear to the United States, and which aims to resolve the eternal Israeli-Palestinian conflict as best as possible.
At the royal residence in Salé, while the two parties discussed the excellent relations between the United States and Morocco, the discussions between Kushner and Mohammed VI also focused on "the developments and developments in the North Africa and the Middle East region", as well as on the strategic partnership between the United States and Morocco, according to a palace spokesman quoted by AFP. Discussions which were also attended by another adviser to Donald Trump, Jason Greenblatt, as well as the king’s adviser Fouad Ali El Himma, and especially Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Later in the evening, at the end of the Ramadan fast-breaking dinner, which was attended by Prince Moulay Hassan, it was the turn of the adviser Jason Greenblatt to summarize in a few words the state of relations with the kingdom. Indeed, satisfied with the exchanges with the Moroccan sovereign, Greenblatt, who said he was "honored" to have shared this meal "with His Majesty King Mohammed VI", praised the "wisdom" of the sovereign on his Twitter account, before stating that "Morocco is an important friend and ally of the United States".
