Moroccan Entrepreneur Wins Prestigious Cartier Women’s Initiative Award for Mobility-Assist Startup

Zineb Agoumi, founder of the start-up Ezygain, was among the seven winners of the Cartier Women’s Initiative 2019, during a ceremony held on May 2 in San Francisco under the theme "The ripple effect".
Proud to be among the seven selected candidates out of a total of 2900, the Moroccan based in France was behind an innovative project specializing in assisting people with reduced mobility. Ezygain, her start-up based in France, has developed a treadmill equipped with sensors ensuring the simultaneous transmission of data to the attending physicians.
The other winners of the prize each participated with an innovative project with high added value. Hibah Shata, from the United Arab Emirates, focused on behavioral therapies and educational support, the Mexican Liza Velarde introduced a blood test for the detection of circulating tumor cells in cancer patients, to name just a few candidates.
The selection of the seven winners was made by an international jury, which tested 2900 candidates from 142 different nationalities. A TED conference on the contributions to be made to the challenges of the modern world took place during the awards ceremony.
