Moroccan Pianist Nour Ayadi Wins Prestigious Cortot Prize in Paris

At the end of the Concours du Diplôme supérieur de concertiste on May 16 and 17, 2019 in Paris, the verdict was clear: the "Cortot" Prize this year went to the young Moroccan musician, Nour Ayadi, who is in fact a collector of high-level music awards.

In addition to the "Cortot" Prize that she brilliantly won in Paris on May 17, 2019, Nour Ayadi, a young Moroccan musician, has to her credit a number of other distinctions, including: the First Prize at the Concours des Virtuoses du cœur in Paris in 2019, the Grand Prix at the Flame Competition in Paris, the Grand Prix of the International Piano Competition of Morocco "Sar la Princesse Lalla Meryem" in 2016, the First Prize at the International Classical Music Competition in Baku, Azerbaijan, the 2nd Prize at the "Alion piano competition" in Estonia, and the First Prize at the National Music Competition of Morocco.

While the dream of this star of Moroccan music remains to improve her performances alongside prestigious names in classical music, such as Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, Cédric Pescia and Michel Béroff, Nour Ayadi has made her presence felt in several international festivals: among others, "Les Spiriades", the Paris Contemporary Music Festival, those of Barbizon, the Alizés, in concerto with the Moroccan Philharmonic Orchestra, the Octobre Musical de Carthage in Tunisia and the "Glafsforden musik festival" in Sweden.

Moreover, as a direct benefit of the grand Parisian Prize in May 2019, she will perform in several French summer festivals this June and will release her first album.
