Princess Lalla Hasnaa and John Kerry Join Earth Day Network's Global Advisory Committee

Several global personalities, including Princess Lalla Hasnaa, have just been appointed to the Earth Day Network’s global advisory committee as new members.

According to a press release from the NGO Earth Day "Secretary of State John Kerry; Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa of Morocco; Kaddu Sebunya, CEO of the African Wildlife Foundation; Abe Minkara, Director of Commercial Development at Mark Cuban Companies; Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group; Lydia Camarillo, Vice President of the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project; Ed Brown, Director and Chief Executive of Care of Creation; and Sanjoy Roy, Managing Director of Teamwork Arts" have thus been appointed to the Earth Day Network’s Global Advisory Committee for the 50th anniversary of Earth Day to be held in 2020.

These luminaries will therefore reinforce the ranks of 35 existing members before that, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Virgin founder Richard Branson, artist Maya Lin and Apple Vice President Lisa Jackson.

The President of the Earth Day Network, Kathleen Rogers, on this occasion, declared: "We are delighted to welcome these global leaders from the private sector, civil society, the arts and the political sphere, to complement our efforts". For her, the year 2020 is important: "2020 must be the year of intense and ambitious change that will honor the promise of ongoing positive actions".

It should be noted that Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd, since 1970.
