Marrakech Film Festival: Princess Lalla Hasnaa Hosts Star-Studded Gala Dinner

After the official opening of the 18th edition of the Marrakech International Film Festival (FIFM) on Friday, November 30, Princess Lalla Hasnaa presided over a dinner offered by King Mohammed VI on Saturday at the Palais des Congrès in the ochre city.

The opening of the 18th edition of the FIFM managed to focus the attention on the plethora of global stars of the 7th art who landed in Marrakech.

Upon her arrival, the princess was welcomed by the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, Air Transport and the Social Economy, Nadia Fettah, and the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, government spokesperson, Hassan Abyaba, after reviewing a detachment of the Auxiliary Forces who were rendering honors.

Also present at this dinner were several territorial authorities, including the Wali of the Marrakech-Safi region, Governor of the Prefecture of Marrakech, Karim Kassi Lahlou, the President of the Marrakech-Safi Regional Council, Ahmed Akhchichen, the President of the Commune of Marrakech, Mohamed Larbi Belcaid and the President of the Prefectural Council, Jamila Afif.

Lalla Hasnaa then went to the Hall of Honor. Here, in the presence of the officials of the Marrakech International Film Festival Foundation, including the two vice-presidents, Faïçal Laraichi and Sarim Fassi Fihri, foreign stars as well as foreign and national partners of the Festival were presented to the princess.

An unmissable event for cinema fans, the FIFM, whose 18th edition ends on December 7, is under the high patronage of King Mohammed VI, and brings together the cream of the global 7th art stars, while placing the ochre city in the spotlight.
