Morocco’s King Mohammed VI Postpones Throne Anniversary Celebrations Amid COVID-19 Concerns

All planned activities, festivities and ceremonies for the 23rd Anniversary of the accession of King Mohammed VI have just been postponed, according to a statement from the Royal Palace.
"The Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery announces that in view of the continuation of the preventive measures imposed by the evolution of the health situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been decided to postpone all the activities, festivities and ceremonies planned on the occasion of the 23rd Anniversary of the accession of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, to the Throne of His Glorious Ancestors," the statement said.
Thus, "it has been decided to postpone the reception ceremony presided over by HM the King, may God glorify Him, on this glorious occasion, the ceremony of swearing in of the new graduate officers from the various military, paramilitary and civilian schools and institutes, the ceremony of allegiance to Amir Al-Mouminine, may God preserve Him, and all the parades and events attended by a large number of citizens."
