Morocco’s King Mohammed VI Opts for Low-Key 20th Anniversary Celebrations

A press release, probably to avoid all excesses. Yesterday, the Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery published a press release in which it calls on the various institutions to celebrate it in a normal and simple way.
"The Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery announces that the festivities for the 20th anniversary of the accession of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, to the Throne of His Glorious Ancestors, will take place according to the usual customs and traditions, just like in previous years," it is written in this press release relayed by the MAP.
"Thus, the various national institutions, bodies and personalities are called upon to commemorate this happy occasion in a normal way, without additional or special celebrations," it is specified.
To recall, King Mohammed VI ascended to the throne in July 1999, following the death of his father, the late King Hassan II.
