Morocco’s King Mohammed VI Mourns Former Prime Minister Moulay Ahmed Laraki

King Mohammed VI has expressed his condolences to the family of Moroccan physician and politician Moulay Ahmed Laraki. The former Prime Minister died on November 2 at the age of 89.
In his message, the sovereign states that he learned with deep sadness of the passing of Moulay Ahmed Laraki, practitioner, politician and diplomat. He expresses to the members of the deceased’s family, and through them, their loved ones and his large political family (the Istiqlal), his heartfelt condolences and sincere compassion. He remembers a man who dedicated his life to serving Morocco with devotion, selflessness, altruism and a strong attachment to the constants and sacred values of the Nation.
The king says he remembers with esteem the loyalty, professional competence and political wisdom that the deceased had shown in the various high diplomatic and governmental missions and responsibilities entrusted to him under the reign of the late HM Hassan II. Mohammed VI affirmed that the deceased was faithful and loyal to the Alaouite Throne.
While sharing the grief of the deceased’s family following this cruel loss, Mohammed VI implores the Almighty to amply reward the latter for the laudable services rendered to his Homeland and his good deeds.
