Morocco’s King Mohammed VI to Make First Official Visit to Egypt Under President al-Sissi

King Mohammed VI will likely travel to Egypt at the end of February for an official visit where he will meet President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi.
"Whether in Cairo or Rabat, preparations are well underway, particularly at the protocol and diplomatic levels, to ensure the best conditions for this trip by the king, the first of its kind since the advent of Abdel Fattah al-Sissi to the supreme magistracy of his country," confide sources to Le360.
However, no official source has confirmed or denied the king’s visit to Egypt so far.
According to some indiscretions, this visit will take place at the end of February. Morocco and Egypt have long-standing bilateral relations in several areas, particularly commercial. Diplomatic issues in the Arab world would also be at the heart of the exchanges between the sovereign and the Egyptian president.
