Morocco’s King Mohammed VI to Make Historic Visit to Egypt, Reviving High-Level Talks

Preparations for the State visit of King Mohammed VI to Egypt in the coming weeks are ongoing. This is the first official visit since the arrival of President Abdelfattah Sissi.
According to sources reported by Rue20, the Sovereign should travel to Egypt in the coming weeks to participate in the Moroccan-Egyptian High Commission, the last meeting of which dates back to 2006.
Placing great hope on the holding of this joint commission, the Egyptian ambassador to Rabat had, in a press statement, confirmed the royal visit to the land of the pharaohs, without however giving details on the precise date.
On the other hand, the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Cooperation had handed over to the Egyptian President a letter in which King Mohammed VI had expressed his desire to strengthen relations between the two countries.
