Morocco’s King Mohammed VI Begins State Visit to Gabon, Strengthening Ties

For his first state visit to sub-Saharan Africa this year, King Mohammed VI has chosen Gabon. A visit during which the sovereign has planned several meetings, including an audience with Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba.
King Mohammed VI arrived in Gabon on Sunday, December 25, reports the website Barlamane.com, according to which this visit testifies to the relations between the two countries and the will of their leaders to further strengthen them.
The king is expected to be received by the Gabonese president. On the agenda of the discussions, the strengthening of bilateral relations between Rabat and Libreville, but also international issues.
The King of Morocco regularly visits Gabon. The same is true for President Ali Bongo Ondimba who has stayed in Morocco to receive medical treatment and has remained there for a long convalescence.
