Morocco’s King Congratulates Ethiopian PM on Nobel Peace Prize Win

King Mohammed VI sent a message of congratulations to the Ethiopian Prime Minister, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. Abiy Ahmed Ali’s efforts in favor of the historic reconciliation between his country and its neighbor Eritrea were recognized on Friday, October 11.
In this message, the Sovereign hailed this "recognition of his pioneering role in resolving the border conflict with Eritrea and for his efforts in favor of peace and security in the regions of East and Northeast Africa".
Likewise, Mohammed VI warmly congratulated the Ethiopian Prime Minister "for this high international consecration which represents a source of pride for sister Ethiopia".
The Sovereign remains convinced that this distinction will only increase the determination and will of Abiy Ahmed Ali to continue his good works for the promotion and anchoring of the universal values of coexistence, tolerance and brotherhood.
Seizing the same opportunity, Mohammed VI expressed his satisfaction with the strong ties of African brotherhood and the fruitful cooperative relations that unite Morocco and Ethiopia.
