US-Morocco Joint Military Exercise Enhances Disaster Response Capabilities

"Maroc Mantlet 2022" is the name of the joint military exercise organized at the Rescue and Rescue Unit of the Military Engineering and the 3rd Air Base of the Royal Air Force in Kenitra, by Morocco and the United States. Started on September 12, this set of theoretical and practical training on disaster management ended this Friday, September 23.
"Maroc Mantlet" brings together each year the specialized teams of the FAR in disaster management, the teams of the National Guard of the State of Utah and the American Agency for Risk Reduction. In a statement to the press, Colonel Mehdi Ouhadi, Commander of the FAR Rescue and Rescue Unit, director of the Disaster Management Exercise, indicated that "this exercise sets as objectives, the development of the quality of work, as well as the coordination of the action of the participating rescue and rescue units, both Moroccan and American".
This year, the participants had the right for about ten days to a specially concocted program for the occasion. These are technical, tactical and procedural maneuvers with the American side. During this practical exercise, fire extinguishing simulations were carried out with the Canadair planes.
After saluting the relations between the Utah National Guard and the Royal Armed Forces, Major General Michael Turley stressed that "this exercise encourages the Moroccans and helps them to experiment with the skills and knowledge acquired, in order to strengthen their leadership in
