Nizar Baraka, Secretary General of Istiqlal and Minister of Equipment, assures that there is neither a blockage nor a delay in the appointment of future State Secretaries. This operation will be carried out in due course and according to needs.
The Istiqlal party is accused of blocking the appointment of future State Secretaries. Hamdi Ould Rachid would be the source of this blockage. According to some indiscretions, he would like to have several positions for his party in order to be able to satisfy his entourage within Istiqlal. In a statement reported by Assabah, the Secretary General of Istiqlal Nizar Baraka, who is also the Minister of Equipment, stated that there is neither a blockage nor a delay in the appointment of future State Secretaries and that if there is a blockage, his party is not responsible for it.
"The government has taken the time it needs to settle in and, after evaluating its action, it will be able to have an idea of the departments that would require the appointment of a State Secretary," he explains, assuring that this operation will be carried out in consultation between the members of the majority.
