David Govrin, Israel’s chargé d’affaires in Rabat, announced on Sunday, February 7, that direct flights between Morocco and Israel will be launched within two months. This will mark another step in the normalization of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The Israeli diplomat made this announcement in an interview with I24News. He recalled that Morocco plans to welcome 200,000 tourists after the launch of air links between the two countries, compared to 45,000 currently.
Mr. Govrin also stressed that many Moroccans want to travel to Israel. He also announced that the liaison office will open a consultation section to provide them with the necessary information.
