Morocco Introduces Health and Vaccination Passes for COVID-19 Reopening

Opening of stadiums, health pass, vaccination pass, etc., Health Minister Kalhed Ait Taleb provided some details on Morocco’s efforts for a gradual return to normal life.
During a press conference held on Friday in Rabat, the minister reviewed the recent developments in the health situation and the new measures taken nationwide to deal with Covid-19.
Specifically, Ait Taleb addressed the issue of the health pass and the vaccination pass, which is causing confusion among Moroccans.
According to him, the health passport includes a certificate of a Covid-19 test, in addition to a vaccination exemption document for various reasons. It is therefore a passport allowing travel outside Morocco, while the vaccination pass is an approved document for circulation within the Kingdom.
Regarding the reopening of football stadiums, Ait Taleb indicated that it is still premature to make a decision in this regard, stressing that the Kingdom is betting on a gradual opening of public spaces in order to avoid an epidemic rebound.
