Morocco Eases Entry Rules for Children: Vaccine Pass Not Required, PCR Test Mandatory

The government has decided to exempt children aged 6 to 18 from the vaccine pass when coming from abroad. However, a PCR test will be required to enter the national territory.
According to Health Minister Khalid Ait Taleb, the government’s decision to require all travelers to have a valid vaccine pass with a PCR test less than 48 hours old before entering Morocco will not apply to children under six years old.
"Children aged 0 to 6 are not affected by vaccination and the PCR test is not required for them. Children aged six to 18, on the other hand, must only present a health pass without the obligation to be vaccinated," he explained, justifying this by the fact that vaccination is not recommended for this category in several countries.
However, this measure does not apply to Moroccan children aged 12 to 18 who wish to leave the national territory. The latter must be vaccinated compulsorily if they wish to go abroad, he said.
