Morocco Switches to Health Pass, Abandoning Controversial Vaccine Requirement

The vaccine pass is no longer current in Morocco. The National Council for Human Rights has announced the adoption, by the government, of the health pass to the detriment of the vaccine pass. This was a recommendation of the CNDH, due to the discontent caused by the obligation of the vaccine pass.
Amina Bouayach, president of the CNDH, welcomed on Twitter this decision which will defuse the tension born of the obligation of the vaccine pass. "The Council had issued, in a letter to the Prime Minister, last October, a recommendation to replace the ’vaccine passport’ with the health passport," recalls the CNDH.
In the letter addressed on October 25 to the head of government Aziz Akhannouch, the CNDH had suggested the health pass which certifies "a negative test against Covid", which contains a medical certificate proving recovery from Covid or a medical certificate indicating that its holder is not eligible for the vaccine.
