EU Clarifies Technical Equivalence of Moroccan Health Pass for European Travel

The delegation of the European Union provided, on Tuesday, September 21, clarifications on the recognition of the Moroccan health pass in Europe. It appears that the equivalence between health certificates is purely technical.
The equivalence between health certificates is purely technical and "allows mutual readability of QR codes, whether at the level of vaccination passes or PCR tests," specifies the EU delegation to Morocco in a press release published on its website, thus trying to put an end to the "misunderstandings conveyed by certain media and disseminated on social networks". According to it, the aim is to ensure the reliability and traceability of vaccination passes. Downloadable from the website liqahcorona.ma, the document now contains 2 QR codes, the first readable by the Moroccan authorities and the second intended for the European authorities.
This decision "does not change anything to the health requirements always required by each of the EU Member States to be able to enter each country," the diplomatic representation also specifies. It is therefore up to the European countries to always authorize, for example, the entry or not of people vaccinated with the Chinese vaccine Sinopharm on their territories. "Any person, regardless of their nationality, whether Moroccan nationals or from one of the EU Member States or any other nationality, must submit to the health requirements formulated by the country of destination".
The European Union delegation will also specify that these requirements depend on the vaccine administered, the category of the country from which one comes and where one is going (green, orange, red according to the European nomenclature and A, B, concerning the Moroccan nomenclature).
