Morocco to Introduce Monthly Allowances for People with Disabilities

People with disabilities can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The 2020 Finance Bill (PLF), in its social orientations, provides for measures to allow people with disabilities to receive monthly allowances.
"Better late than never," they say. People with disabilities in Morocco will finally receive allowances.
This decision was already apparent in the latest speeches given by King Mohammed VI, such as on the occasion of the Throne Feast and the Anniversary of the King and People’s Revolution, according to TelQuel.
The sovereign had mentioned provisions that would allow people with special needs to benefit from monthly assistance, just like those allocated to widows since 2015, in response to civil society, which had demanded that this same facility be granted to people limited by their physical disability.
Indeed, for four years, widows have been receiving 350 dirhams per month for each orphaned child meeting the aid conditions. But regardless of the number of children, the total received per family cannot exceed 1050 dirhams, for a maximum coverage of 3 children.
These allowances for people with disabilities, provided for in the next Finance Act, have been awaited for many years by the beneficiaries.
