Morocco Imposes Strict COVID-19 Measures for Returning Expats Traveling by Sea

Before their return to Morocco, for those who wish to go there despite the coronavirus pandemic, Moroccans Residing Abroad (MREs) must absolutely respect certain rules. These will be reminded to all travelers when purchasing their tickets.
Here is a set of mandatory measures imposed by the Moroccan authorities as part of the return of MREs. They were announced during a videoconference organized by the Ministry of Transport.
The MREs:
✓ must be in possession of proof of a negative COVID-19 test, which will be requested from them at the time of boarding;
✓ will be subject to a temperature check before boarding;
✓ may be subject to a health examination to prevent the spread of COVID-19;
✓ Must wear a mask to cover their mouth and nose;
✓ must respect the floor markings set up on board the ships to maintain sufficient physical distance from other passengers;
✓ Upon arrival at their destination, they could be subject to other control measures taken by the country of arrival to prevent the spread of COVID-19;
✓ people showing symptoms of COVID-19 will not be allowed to board the ship.
