Support for Palestine after the rise in Israeli-Palestinian tensions in East Jerusalem. During a sit-in organized in Rabat, the participants called through slogans for the immediate cessation of Israeli atrocities against the holy city and the continuous aggression in the occupied Gaza Strip and West Bank, reports the MAP. They also called on the international community to exert pressure on Israel, in order to respect the resolutions of the international community and to put an end to its atrocities against the Palestinian people.
The participants also reaffirmed the constant and unwavering solidarity of the Moroccan people with the Palestinian people and their permanent support for the defense of their legitimate rights, including the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
King Mohammed VI, President of the Al-Quds Committee, ordered this week the dispatch of emergency humanitarian aid to the Palestinian population in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. This humanitarian aid consists of 40 tons of essential food products, emergency medical supplies and blankets. A first batch arrived on Sunday, May 16, on board a Royal Armed Forces (FAR) plane at Amman airport.
