Morocco’s Holiday Rental Market Surges as Tourism Rebounds Post-Covid

Seasonal real estate rentals in Morocco are generating strong enthusiasm as the holidays approach. This is reviving the sector after two years of scarcity due to the Covid-19 health crisis.
The return of Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) is partly contributing to reviving the seasonal real estate rental market. All destinations, particularly seaside destinations, are recording strong demand, according to La Vie éco. Hotel stays, rentals of all types of properties (residential complexes, apartments or studios in buildings, villas, riads...) The demand has been exploding in recent days. Agadir is showing a high occupancy rate for the month of August in almost all hotels. Faced with this strong enthusiasm, the city’s officials are working to complete the ongoing work.
This strong demand has consequently led to a rise in prices in some cities of the kingdom. Prices are, however, relatively low and stable in cities that have become attractive. This is the case in Asilah, where prices are still affordable and stable compared to last year, or in El Jadida or El Oualidia, where the prices of properties offered for rent can reach 1,200 dirhams for those overlooking the beach or with a swimming pool. It has also been noted that prices are set according to the length of stay depending on the destinations.
