An experienced British traveler has fallen under the charm of Marrakech and places the Moroccan city among the must-see destinations to visit.
"Marrakech is magnificent, but it can be a bit intense if you travel alone," assures Emily Luxton, a British blogger and writer specialized in solo travel and adventures for women. She has traveled alone and visited more than sixty countries, including 32 solo. At the end of this journey, this thirty-something solo traveler, based in Dorset, England, has drawn up a list of must-see places and must-avoid destinations, including the region where she will never return. The British traveler has placed Marrakech among the must-see destinations to visit.
Marrakech is considered the best tourist destination in Morocco. A position it owes to its easy access and dynamic life. The city offers a perfect blend of history, luxury, adventure and easy access for European travelers. Inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, the medina is a true labyrinth of narrow alleys filled with spice vendors, artisans and colorful souks.
Jemaa El Fna Square, a global cultural symbol and an integral part of the human heritage listed by UNESCO, and the souks that surround it, are partly the charm of Marrakech. The red city is also the destination of the world’s great celebrities and rising stars. Last year, many flocked to the city to have a good time. Since 2024, the red city has been attracting more and more British people.
