Seasoned Solo Traveler Urges Tourists to Explore Morocco’s Rich Culture

A British tourist who has been traveling solo for 20 years invites tourists to visit Morocco where they can have an "enriching experience."
Liz Parry, 50, is an experienced solo traveler. She tells Mail Online that she considers herself a "late starter in solo travel." "The first time I really went alone was on a six-month trip to South America when I was 30. I started with a month of homestay in Cusco, Peru, which was great and really immersed me in the culture. Then I did the Inca Trail and was supposed to continue with a group of tourists, but I quickly realized that the formula didn’t suit me," she recounts.
She adds: "I didn’t like being told where to go or how long to stay, so I ended up doing it myself. And after that trip, the passion persisted." In 20 years, the woman who runs the public relations agency Liz Parry PR has traveled to 70 countries. She quickly fell in love with South America. "I loved South America, so I started going back every year to a different country and, after about a decade, I had traveled to all the countries in Central and South America." Subsequently, Liz discovered other countries and places Morocco among her favorite destinations.
She lived in Marrakech. Liz reveals that Morocco is one of her two favorite travel destinations. "It’s incredible," she says. If you take the time to understand the local culture, you can have a truly enriching experience."
