Morocco's High-Speed Trains Switch to English for 2030 World Cup Prep

English is now the main language for broadcasting information on board the Moroccan high-speed trains (TGVs), ahead of Arabic, informs the National Railway Office (ONCF).
TEXTE:
The information intended for customers on the display screens on board the TGVs connecting the cities of Casablanca and Tangier, via Rabat and Kénitra, will now be available in English, the language required by FIFA for the host countries of the World Cup.

The replacement of French by English in the Moroccan TGVs is part of the preparations for the 2030 World Cup that the kingdom will host alongside Spain and Portugal.

To recall, FIFA had already imposed the introduction of English in essential services such as transportation (trains, metros, buses, planes), restaurants and hotels in the host cities of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
