French Women Busted: 20 Kilos of Hashish Seized at Morocco-Ceuta Border

Moroccan customs officers arrested two young French women at the Ceuta border crossing who were traveling to the autonomous city with 20 kilos of hashish hidden in their car.
The two French women were arrested on Tuesday following a customs check at the border crossing between Morocco and Ceuta. During a search of their Peugeot vehicle, the Moroccan customs officers found 19.2 kilos of hashish carefully hidden near the tires, reports Assabah.
The defendants were made available for the investigation led by the provincial brigade of the judicial police in Tetouan to determine the origin of this cargo and identify and apprehend all the individuals involved in this trafficking.
The Moroccan police forces are stepping up controls during this summer period, when ill-intentioned individuals take advantage of the influx of Moroccans from Europe crossing the border in Ceuta as part of Operation Marhaba, to illegally remove hashish from the kingdom.
