Morocco’s Hidden Gem: Coastal Oasis Crowned World’s Top Romantic Retreat
A renowned magazine places a Moroccan hotel in its ranking of the best hotels in the world.
La Fiermontina Ocean (Morocco) ranks second in the ranking of the 30 best hotels in the world (romantic retreat category), established by National Geographic, a leading media in science and exploration. The magazine describes this place as an impressive modernist villa. This magical setting is perched on a paradisiacal beach on the Atlantic, on the wild coast of Larache, near Tangier. "But the other secret lies in its four cottages located in a neighboring hamlet, perfect for a romantic getaway. The traditional stone houses retain their original woodwork, complemented by Berber rugs and poufs," the publication writes.
La Fiermontina Ocean notably includes romantic suites, with large windows overlooking the dunes and a pool directly on the ocean. Guests can enjoy cocktails by the fireplace or admire the sunset on the terrace with a view of the valley. Guests have the option to treat themselves to breakfast starting at 3,179 dirhams (£260).
Palacete Severo (Portugal) tops the ranking of the best hotels in the world for a romantic getaway.
