Morocco Held to Scoreless Draw by Paraguay in World Cup Warm-Up Match
After its victory against Chile (2-0) last Friday, Morocco was unable to repeat the feat against Paraguay. It is with a score of zero all that the two teams parted ways on Tuesday evening at the Benito Villamarin stadium in Seville.
Speed, haste, missed opportunities, lack of rigor. These are the flaws that prevented Morocco from scoring goals on Tuesday evening against Paraguay. The men of Walid Regragui only managed to obtain a draw (0-0) in their second and final warm-up match before the World Cup.
Despite their good will to open the scoring, the players struggled to overcome the defensive wall set up by Paraguay. Even the changes made by the Moroccan coach brought nothing. This second match revealed many flaws that will have to be corrected, at the risk of making a poor figure at the World Cup. Paraguay could have scored several goals, if Yassine Bounou had not intervened on each shot.
Walid Regragui will have to resolutely get to work, correct the flaws in time to make the national team more competitive for the World Cup.
